We are committed to sourcing our products and services in a traceable, as well as socially and environmentally responsible, manner.

Supplied Assurance Framework (SAF)

We have implemented a Supplier Assurance Framework (SAF) to identify and mitigate potential human rights and environmental issues within its supplier base across its Australasia and North American operations.

Our suppliers are being assessed though an initial risk assessment tool, with suppliers identified as high risk being further assessed though the Supplier Ethical Data Exchange (Sedex).

Following this further assessment, all suppliers identified as high risk will need to successfully mitigate these risks via an agreed mitigation plan. If the supplier is unable to successfully mitigate these risks, they will no longer be a supplier to Orora.

Forest Chain of Custody

Forest Chain of Custody Certification ensures that not only our raw materials, but also our finished fibre-based products maintain transparency and traceability to responsible sources of fibre, providing our customers with peace of mind about where our products come from – from the forest to the end consumer.

We hold both Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) Chain of Custody and Sustainable Forest Initiative® (SFI) Certified sourcing status across a number of our operations in North America.

The FSC® Chain of Custody Standard supports responsible forestry practices and ensures transparency and traceability in the fibre supply chain.*

Under the SFI® standards, to bear the SFI® label, there must be an auditable procurement process in place to ensure all fibre comes from responsible and legal sources.

Please ask your Orora Account Manager for more information.

*Only products made from FSC® certified fibre at FSC® Chain of Custody Certified sites can carry the FSC® Claim
