As a local employer, we’re proud of the way we contribute to the economies we’re part of. We offer significant contributions to community partners that align with our sustainability objectives, and we empower our businesses and team members to support causes that align with their interests.
At Orora, we’re creating vibrant workplaces that reflect the richness of the communities we operate in. Ours is a culture founded on being courageous and innovative. And on saying what we mean and standing by our word.
With a strong focus on equity and inclusion we’re creating a culture where team members of different backgrounds and abilities, with different ways of thinking, can show up as themselves, bring their best and collaborate with respect and openness.
We see diversity as a powerful source of competitive advantage in driving better decision making, innovation and growth.
Maintaining the safety, health and wellbeing of our team members, customers and visitors is of paramount importance to us. Safety is a fundamental and ongoing commitment – everyone has the right to return home safe and well after working each day.
We truly care about doing what’s right and will continue to develop our culture to support the safety and health of our people and invest in their wellbeing. After all, it’s our talented team who live our values, lead our sustainability promise and bring our commitments to life.
We protect and respect human rights and seek to identify and remove any violations from our supply chain. We work with our suppliers to ensure this level of transparency and enforcement of standards.
We oppose all forms of slavery in our operations and the operations of our suppliers. Our first Modern Slavery Statement, developed in accordance with the Commonwealth Modern Slavery Act 2018, demonstrates this commitment to identifying, assessing and mitigating human rights impacts, providing access to effective grievance or complaint mechanisms and ensuring continuous improvement to strengthen our actions over time.
We are committed to sourcing products and services in a traceable, socially and environmentally responsible manner.
Our Supplier Assurance Framework (SAF) identifies and mitigates potential human rights and environmental issues with our suppliers.
A risk assessment tool is applied to identify high risks, which are in some cases further assessed through Sedex (the Supplier Ethical Data Exchange). Suppliers must successfully mitigate any risks via an agreed plan and if unsuccessful, may no longer be able to partner with Orora.
